What is RTA and Frequency Response?
RTA stands for real-time analyzer. By using a software to read the Frequency Response of the drivers and compare it to an ideally LINEAR (balanced) frequency spectrum. We can use the DSP EQ to adjust the stereo closer to a truly ideal sound, compensating for the imperfections in your car’s physical environment.
So by installing a DSP will solve the sound stage and sound quality issues?
No. You have to ensure that the DSP is not Under Tune or Linear (Balanced) tune incorrectly
DSP is just an device with a software, without a proper tuning is just like car performance chip without tuning, you can imagine what result you will get.
What sound quality to achieve in Car?
Unlike home environment where a pair of stereo speakers may do the work, the car environment where MLP (Main Listening Position) is fixed, we need to ensure that proper tuning is done to ensure a good Sound Stage where all the 5 points are accurately position on the windscreen.
